Are you a member of a campaigning organisation?
Is your trade union branch in need of funds?
Find out how you can fundraise with the Workers Beer Company...

Since it was founded by Battersea and Wandsworth TUC, the Workers Beer Company has raised over £3,000,000 for the organisations that work with it. The fundraising mechanism is simple: organisations like trades union branches, campaigns and solidarity groups send volunteers to pour and serve drinks in WBC bars and beer tents. The Company then donates £6.50 to the parent organisation for every hour that their volunteers contribute. It’s a fun way for activists to make money for their organisation’s work. The volunteers don’t get paid, but they do get free entry to the festival, a couple of drinks when their shift is over, and when they are not working (shifts are usually six hours long) they can enjoy the music and the atmosphere of the festival. Where the event runs over a number of days the Company will provide a secure campsite with toilets, showers and a subsidised canteen and bar.

There are hundreds of organisations affiliated to the Company and they send thousands of volunteers each year to work in the Company’s beer tents. See a list of the current organisations

Any surplus that the Company makes goes into developing the Company’s work and assisting with union recruitment campaigns across South London.
