WBC agree a new deal with Glastonbury FestivalWBC agree a new deal with Glastonbury Festival

The Workers Beer Company have agreed a new deal to continue its 20 year tenure as Glastonbury Festivals bar franchisee. The deal includes a complete review of the bar provision at the event to ensure we provide the most cost effective operation whilst maintaining a high level of service to the punter. There will be some new bars and some will not be returning.

As in previous years we will of course be offering a wide range of products and operating a number of specialist bars such as the Red Flag Real Ale bar alongside our regular fast serve bars at the Pyramid Stage and the Other Stage.

New for 2009; we are planning a competition amongst students at local art colleges to design the décor at three of our bars, more on this as plans are confirmed. We are also looking at providing entertainment in some of our bars, mainly DJ’s, but perhaps also some acoustic slots. Finally after the successful trials in 2008 we are also looking to operate the bar code till systems in some of the Glastonbury bars.

The Workers Beer Company is very please to be continuing its relationship with Glastonbury Festival and is looking forward to a successful 2009 Festival.
