MENDIP COUNCIL COMPLIMENTS WBC BAR OPERATION - GLASTO 09

25/02/2010

Glastonbury Festival 2009

Mendip District Council have recently published their Licensing report for Glastonbury 2009.
We’ve been mentioned several times in the report and for all the right reasons.

Here are some of the quotes:

“Bar staff and bar management responded to visits in a professional and responsible manner, and were helpful at all times.
This was particularly pertinent to bars operated by the Worker’s Beer Company,
where Tent Managers and Deputy Tent Managers were more likely to hold a Personal Licence”

“The bars operated by the Worker’s Beer Co. in the main had all relevant documentation, paperwork and posters available or displayed.”

“this company provided pre – event briefings and training to staff and management briefings during the event”

“The good standards that were in place for the event in 2007 and 2008 had been maintained for 2009.
In particular, the standards of the Worker’s Beer Company”

Glastonbury 2009 was a tough festival for all involved, but by maintaining our high standards we’ve proved we can shine.
With Glastonbury 2010 just round the corner, let’s keep up the good work.
