Volunteer With Us

Are you a member of a campaigning organisation?

Is your trade union branch in need of funds?

Find out how you can fundraise with the Workers Beer Company...

Volunteer with us

Since the Battersea and Wandsworth TUC founded us in 1986, the Workers Beer Company has raised more than £5,000,000 for the organisations we work with.

Working with us is easy:
If you’re part of a trade union branch, campaigning or community group and would like to work with us, then register your group by filling out the form here.

The volunteers you send then work at the festivals pouring and serving drinks for the thirsty customers.

The volunteers don't get paid, but for their hard work (shifts are usually six hours long and you only have to do one per day) they get:

  • free entry to the festival
  • a couple of drinks to enjoy after every shift
  • meal vouchers

When they’re not working they can chill out and enjoy the atmosphere ofthe festival. If the event runs over a number of days we will provide a secure camping area with toilets regularly cleaned, showers, and a subsidised canteen and bar.

It doesn’t stop there; we then donate £6.50 to your organisation for every hour that your volunteers work. It's a fun way for the Labour movement and Trade Unions to make money for their organisations.Click to see where we worked last year.

As we’re a non-profit making organisation, any surplus that we make goes back into Battersea and Wandsworth Trades Union Council. The money we raise supports its work organising and campaigning for working peoples’ rights in South London.
